"More than a year ago, when adopting the targets for 2023, we regarded the growth in the volume of transportation in communication with the People's Republic of China by 10% as an optimistic estimate. The results have exceeded all expectations. At the end of 2023, the volume amounted to a record 161 million tons, which is 36% higher than in 2022," said Oleg Belozerov, head of Russian Railways, during the final meeting of the Management Board for 2023 on Wednesday.
