Mikhail Mishustin met with Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China

The head of the Russian government congratulated his Chinese counterpart on the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China.

“Over three quarters of a century, Russian-Chinese cooperation has taken on a new quality and depth. We are building upon the traditions of neighbourliness, friendship and strategic partnership, and confidently looking to the future together,” Mikhail Mishustin emphasised.

The head of the Russian government noted that despite unprecedented external pressure, the countries are strengthening economic cooperation:

▫️ Mutual trade volumes are being increased.
▫️ New investment projects are being launched.
▫️Overall partnership in the energy sector has taken a strategic character, encompassing the oil, gas, coal and nuclear industries.
▫️In the field of transportation the countries are expanding freight traffic and the capacity of border checkpoints, creating new international transport corridors.
▫️Particular attention is paid to agriculture and strengthening the food security.



Russia and China also value strong humanitarian ties. In accordance with the decision of the leaders, the countries hold events within the framework of cross cultural years.

Mikhail Mishustin expressed confidence that cooperation between Russia and China will contribute to the further increase of activity in the SCO and will enable to unlock the economic potential of the association.
