CHINA SUPPLIES CARS TO RUSSIA FOR A RECORD AMOUNT FOR THE SECOND MONTH IN A ROW

Shipments of passenger cars from China to Russia continued to grow in July, remaining above one billion dollars for the second month in a row, according to RIA Novosti analysis of Chinese customs data.

According to the agency's data, $1.06 billion worth of passenger cars were shipped to Russia in July, up from $1.03 billion a month earlier. This was the largest monthly delivery of cars from China to Russia in history.

Russia is the largest automobile export destination for China with a share of 16.8%.

In total, in July, China increased the supply of passenger cars to international markets by 11.4% year-on-year and 1.9 times in annual terms - up to 6.33 billion dollars.
