Beijing and Moscow responsibly protect the generally accepted principles of international relations and promote their democratization. This was stated by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"In the international arena, China and Russia continue to carry out close strategic cooperation with each other, promoting the formation of a multipolar world and democratization of international relations, and protecting their fundamental principles. This is an international responsibility entrusted to the PRC and the Russian Federation," the website of the Chinese foreign ministry quoted Wang Yi as saying.
The Chinese Foreign Minister said that the joint efforts of Beijing and Moscow in this direction "befit the Sino-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership".
