At the Manchuria (Manzhouli) International Automobile Border-crossing Point, artificial intelligence has been introduced. It greatly simplifies border crossing. The system recognizes 95% of trucks by recording the number, colour and make of the car, determines the time of document submission and departure, conducts border control, and coordinates data transmission on the cloud-based customs control platform.
In addition, Chinese border authorities are actively developing a “smart customs clearance system for car ports” in Manchuria: it will allow car exporters to enter vehicle data into a mobile application in advance and cross the border by QR code.
All these measures will allow to increase the traffic capacity between the countries: so, by 2030 Russia and China plan to increase the traffic capacity of automobile checkpoints 7 times (from 2021).
On November 13-15, at the Russia-China Forum, participants will discuss best practices and innovative approaches to simplifying customs processes. Register and learn more
