China joins the All-Russian “Cinema Night” for the first time

The best Russian latest films were screened in several cities of the Celestial Empire: the Chinese audience was introduced to the sci-fi blockbuster “Next Hundred Years Ago” (directed by Alexander Andryushchenko), the fairy tale “At the Pike's Behest” (directed by Alexander Voitinsky) and the war-historical drama “Air” (directed by Alexei German Jr.).

Entrance to the screenings was free of charge and the films were subtitled in Chinese, making them accessible to everyone. The large audience received the films with great warmth and gave positive feedback on the event.

As part of the Russia and China Cross Cultural Years and the Rostki Forum, Kazan will host the Days of Chinese Cinema this autumn: guests will be able to see the most popular Chinese films and discuss the prospects for development and cooperation between the two countries' film industries.
