Over 3,000 participants will gather at the first Russian-Chinese forum "ROSTKI", which will be held in Kazan on September 7 and 8. More than 50 regions of Russia have already registered, and more than 20 countries, including South Africa, Turkey, Vietnam, Morocco, Iran, India, and others, have applied for participation. Talia Minullina, Head of the Investment Development Agency of Tatarstan, talked about it.

She recalled that earlier, following the results of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, eight areas of Russian-Chinese economic cooperation of strategic nature were outlined. These are trade, logistics, finance, energy, deep processing of resources, technology, industrial cooperation, and agriculture. And the “ROSTKI” forum can become a point platform for the work of Russian regions and PRC provinces.

"We think that due to its convenient location and developed infrastructure, the platform in Kazan will show good results in terms of business arrangements. Especially considering the current trends in the machine tool industry, the technology sector in general," RIA Novosti quoted Minullina as saying.

The program of the event includes 42 business sessions in such areas as information technology, engineering, finance, transport, tourism, culture, health care, sports, education, and investment. Two large exhibitions on metalworking, welding, machine-tool, and automobile industry, where more than 30 models of Chinese automobile industry will be presented, are waiting for the participants.

Cultural events will also be part of the event. These include a dramatic performance by a Chinese-Russian acting group based on the work of Nobel Prize winner Mo Yan, a youth festival of Russian-Chinese friendship, a tournament on the Chinese ancient game of weiqi, a festival of Chinese cinema, a chess tournament, etc.

"A regular match of the Continental Hockey League between the team "Ak Bars" and the Chinese team "Kunlun Red Star", demonstration performances of masters of oriental and national martial arts, holding a Chinese tea ceremony are planned", - shared the head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to her, if necessary, the forum can become an annual event.
