The cooperation between Kazan and Guangzhou is aimed at promoting innovative activities, raising the international status of municipalities and the standard of living. The agreement also envisages the exchange of experience in the spheres of culture, education, sports, science, health, tourism, industry, and trade, reported the Department of International and Intermunicipal Relations of the Kazan Executive Committee.
Last year marked 10 years since the signing of the agreement on establishing twinning relations between Kazan and Guangzhou. During this time, strong ties have been established in various fields and mutual visits have taken place.
