Chinese Consul in Kazan Highlights Positive Momentum in Interregional Cooperation

In an opinion column published by Tatar-Inform, the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kazan, Xiang Bo, noted the growing trade and economic cooperation, expanding humanitarian exchanges and strengthening interregional ties between Russia and China.

“Particularly through the Yangtze–Volga Cooperation Mechanism and the International Forum “SPROUTS: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation”, collaboration between China and the 14 regions of the Volga Federal District continues to demonstrate increasingly positive momentum. More and more Chinese companies are coming in search of opportunities for cooperation.

In 2026, regional leaders from both countries continue to maintain close ties, and the fourth edition of the International Forum “SPROUTS: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation” will take place in August this year in Kazan. Interregional cooperation between China and Russia will continue to reach new milestones.”
