Rustam Minnikhanov invites delegation from China’s Zhejiang Province to the SPROUTS Forum

Tatarstan’s Rais Rustam Minnikhanov has arrived in China on a working visit. He held a meeting with Vice‑Governor of Zhejiang Province Lu Shan. The head of the republic emphasised the importance of relations between the two countries.

According to Minnikhanov, China is Russia’s main partner in terms of bilateral trade volume, and Tatarstan is contributing to strengthening cooperation, the press service of the Rais of the Republic notes.

Tatarstan currently has eight agreements in place with Chinese provinces, and the foreign trade turnover with China reached a record high of 3,3 billion last year. Meanwhile, the PRC has become the key foreign investor in the region’s economy.

The Vice‑Governor highlighted the mutual interest in expanding regional cooperation, and Rustam Minnikhanov invited the delegation from Zhejiang Province to attend the International Forum “SPROUTS: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation”.
