Kremlin Announces Dates of Vladimir Putin’s Visit to China

Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to China on 19–20 May at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. The visit is timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries.
🤝 During the talks, the two leaders are expected to discuss bilateral relations and ways to deepen the comprehensive partnership, as well as exchange views on key international and regional issues. Putin is also scheduled to meet with Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang, with the parties set to review prospects for trade and economic cooperation.
📝 Following the negotiations, a joint statement and a number of bilateral documents are expected to be signed. Both leaders will also take part in the official launch ceremony of the Cross Years of Education between Russia and China - 2026 and 2027 have been designated as Years of Education between the two countries. Putin’s previous visit to China took place in late August and early September 2025.
