Construction of the Chinese consular center has begun in Kazan - it should open at the end of 2023 or at the beginning of 2024. This was announced by Chen Bozhuy, Chinese Consul-Attache in Kazan, on the margins of the VI Global Forum of Young Diplomats.
"The day before, I learned that now they are already starting the construction of the consular center in Kazan. We hope that at the end of this year or early next year we will already open a consular center and issue visas here in Kazan," he said.
Bozhuy also assessed the likelihood of canceling PRC visas for Russian tourists. "We have already canceled visas for tourists in the group. I think it will definitely happen in the long run," he said in response to a related question.
