This autumn has been particularly outstanding for trade between the countries: over the past five years, trade turnover has grown almost 2.5 times, exceeding in September $11.14 billion in Russian imports.
Chinese cars are the most popular among Russians: 121.6 thousand cars worth $1.77 billion and 12.5 thousand trucks worth $443 million were imported to the market. There is also still interest in Chinese smartphones (2.5 million units) and TV sets (431.3 thousand units)
Exports from Russia to China are also on the rise: China buys gas (a record 3.95 billion cubic meters in August), aluminum ($16.6 billion), copper, hydrocarbon oil and palladium. In addition, Russia became the leader in the supply of chocolate to China (11.2 thousand tons), increased imports of rubber and rubber products by 24%, as well as 1.5 times increased supplies of ice cream (633 tons), corn and millet (up to 11.6 and 6.6 thousand tons)
