Tatarstan plans to develop cooperation with the Shanghai United Media Group in AI and the media sector

The Chinese media company Shanghai United Media Group (SUMG), in collaboration with the Republican Agency for Press and Mass Communications, held a meeting in Kazan at the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency. During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the media sector within the framework of the SPROUTS Forum in 2026.

In addition, SUMG presented its own developments in the field of artificial intelligence, aimed at producing news content and fact‑checking media publications.
