Last week, the IX Eastern Economic Forum took place in Vladivostok.

During the event, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the leader of the Chinese delegation, Vice President Han Zheng, and outlined the main directions for the development of intergovernmental cooperation.

"Thanks to our joint efforts, relations between China and Russia have reached an unprecedented level. We attach great importance to interregional cooperation as well. I hope that during today’s meeting and tomorrow’s joint work at the Eastern Economic Forum, we will be able to explore and find new directions for our interaction," said Vladimir Putin.

Significant attention at the forum was given to regional participation, and Tatarstan presented its own stand, where negotiations with Chinese partners took place.

This year, Russian-Chinese relations are reaching a new level: the parties are discussing expanding areas of cooperation and investment, exploring alternative payment methods, and developing new logistics routes.
