For the second year in a row, the “Russia and China - Mutually Beneficial Cooperation: SPROUTS” International Forum will bring together representatives of business circles of Russia and China in Kazan to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation in various fields of activity. The event will be held from November 13 to 15, 2024.
The topics of business sessions of the II Russia-China Forum cover a wide range of areas, including industry, information technology, healthcare, education and agriculture. Guided tours to key enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan (PAO KAMAZ, HAYER INDUSTRY RUS, OOO KAMASTAL, AO SEZ Innopolis, GAU IT Park Technopark in the sphere of high technologies) are also planned.
A special emphasis of the program will be placed on the long-standing Russian-Chinese interstate cooperation, which will be one of the key topics of discussion at the Forum's business session “75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Russia and China: From ‘Great Friendship’ to Mutually Beneficial Economic Cooperation”.
Cultural and educational exchange between Russia and China also plays an important role in strengthening bilateral relations. Tools for inter-municipal cooperation and development trends in the field of science and education will be presented by experts in the sessions devoted to education and social environment. Forum speakers will also touch upon historical and cultural aspects of interaction between the two countries and further development of the tourism cluster.
The rich business program will be complemented by sessions on the implementation of international projects, where Forum participants will be able to learn about all the ins and outs of doing business in Russia and China, as well as the features of investment cooperation in the current realities of the global market.
The “Russia and China in the Global Economic Game” plenary session will be held on the second day of the Forum. It is expected the participation of official government delegations from provinces Jilin, Sichuan, Hunan, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Chongqing municipality, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, Belgorod, Volgograd, Kirov, Rostov, Lugansk, Murmansk, Sakhalin, Tyumen Regions, the Republics of Dagestan and Komi, the Jewish Autonomous Region, Udmurtia, Chechnya and Chuvash Republics, as well as heads of major Chinese companies.
The Cross Cultures Zone, dedicated to the Year of Cross Cultures between Russia and China and presented at the Forum, will feature an extensive program of Russian, Chinese and Tatar traditional arts and crafts.
The program of the cultural platform is planned to include:
- fashion show and performances by on-stage performance groups,
- master classes in Chinese language, calligraphy and making a dragon out of felt,
- Chinese chess and other traditional board games,
- lectures on the specifics of Russian-Chinese negotiations,
- other activities.
