Sergey Lavrov – Relations with China Hold a Special Place on the Priority Scale

Responding to media questions, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov described Russia-China relations as “special.”

“Relations with the People’s Republic of China occupy a special place on the scale of Russia’s foreign policy priorities. The same is true for China’s foreign policy. Russian-Chinese relations have reached an unprecedented level, as repeatedly noted by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The heads of state maintain regular communication. Rich cooperation in the humanitarian sphere organically complements our economic interaction and strategic partnership on the international stage,” Lavrov emphasised.
