150 teenagers aged 14 to 17, representing 35 municipalities from 13 countries, including China, are taking part in the first BRICS Youth Festival in Kazan.

During the week, the kids will take part in robotics workshops, the BRICS Song Contest, a show of national costumes, a festival of board games and quests, and will visit the city's attractions.

According to the press service of the Kazan City Hall, the main event of the meeting will be the BRICS+ cities and partner countries' schoolchildren's Olympiad in mathematics and computer science.

"I'm having a great time in Kazan with my classmates. My favorite subject is computer science, and I've come here to improve my skills in this field," said 17-year-old Wu Junshi from Changchun, China.

The festival will conclude with a grand gala concert featuring young performers from various countries, as well as the best youth and children's creative groups in Kazan.
