Kazan will host its First International Smartphone Repair Championship at the SPROUTS Forum

The YCS Global Master Cup Russia 2026 International Mobile Equipment Repair Championship will be held for the first time as part of the 4th International Forum “SPROUTS: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation”. On 17-18 August, the capital of Tatarstan will host 100 of the most skilled mobile equipment repair engineers from China, India, Brazil, Indonesia, Russia, and the CIS countries.
The championship will become one of the Forum’s most unique platforms, bringing together high-tech service industry professionals, equipment manufacturers, repair technology developers, and world-class experts. Holding the competition as part of the SPROUTS Forum highlights that Russian-Chinese cooperation is currently developing not only in industry and investment, but also in high technology, personnel training, and the exchange of engineering expertise.
Participants will compete in two events. The first will consist of complex repairs on a smartphone’s motherboard, including chip replacement and high-precision BGA soldering. In the second event, they will replace the display glass without replacing the OLED matrix using an original technology. The winners will be determined based on the quality, speed, and precision.
The Championship’s total prize fund will exceed 1 million rubles. In addition to cash prizes, the best engineers will receive professional equipment, tools, consumables, and international championship certificates.
Renowned global industry experts will be invited as special guests. Popular Chinese master and blogger Mr. Yang, the author of unique microsoldering techniques and founder of the YCS Global Master Cup, whose social media audience exceeds 5 million people, will be coming to Kazan. Reigning world champion Santos Eagle from Brazil will also be participating, and renowned Indian expert and professional equipment manufacturer Baba Tools will host the competition.
In addition to the competition, participants will enjoy an educational programme with workshops and open sessions dedicated to modern mobile device repair technologies, new engineering solutions, and the exchange of international experience.
In a short time, the YCS Global Master Cup has grown into the largest global platform for the professional community. In 2025, championships were held in Moscow, Shenzhen, Egypt, and Thailand, bringing together over 500 engineers. The Russian stage set a world record for the number of participants: 104 masters.
