According to the Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma, the relationship between Russia and China continues to yield fruitful results under the leadership of the Heads of the two States.
Alexander Babakov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, met with Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, in Beijing as part of a visit paid by the delegation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation to China.
Zhao Leji said that China and Russia are very determined to support each other, deepen political mutual trust, expand pragmatic co-operation, and promote international order in a fair and reasonable direction.
According to the Chairman, the National People’s Congress of China (NPC) intends to work with the Russian Federal Assembly to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, as well as increase co-operation and exchanges and share best practices in legislation and supervision to provide legal safeguards for joint engagement.
In turn, Alexander Babakov assured that the Russian Federal Assembly is ready to develop exchanges and continue co-operation with the NPC, thus contributing to the deepening of relations between the two countries.
