The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a press release stating that Russia and China will develop co-operation in the development of forest resources and deep processing.
Oleg Bocharov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, said after meeting with Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Lin Ji: "The Russian side attaches special importance to cooperation with China in the field of forestry, and positive progress has been made in this cooperation. We are ready to implement agreements in the development and utilisation of forest resources, expand cooperation in deep wood processing and implement joint projects."
The talks between the two took place as part of a meeting of the Permanent Working Group on the Development and Utilisation of Forest Resources between Russia and China.
