Currently, China Eastern Airlines operates direct scheduled flights between Kazan and Shanghai with a frequency of three times a week, and there are also charter flights from Aeroflot to the resort city of Sanya, which is located on Hainan Island.
"We are working on a flight to Chongqing. It is an important industrial center, southwest of China. More than 32 million people live there. This route may become in demand not only in tourism, but also in economic terms," said German Lerner, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Business missions to China are periodically conducted under the leadership of Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of Tatarstan. They invite both large and small and medium-sized enterprises to find new business partners and open new markets. The main task is to promote the products of Tatarstan enterprises, as well as exchange experience with Chinese companies.
The last business mission to Chongqing was this April. Then there was a meeting with the secretary of the Communist Party of the city, Mr. Yuan Jiajun. The participants visited Changan and Chongqing Machinery & Electronics Holding enterprises.
