Registration is now open for participants of the annual business forum “SPROUTS: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation” and will remain available until the conclusion of the event. The International Forum will take place from 16 to 19 August 2026 at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, bringing together representatives of business, culture, education and government institutions from both countries.
As in previous years, the Forum will welcome representatives of federal ministries, heads of provincial governments, chairpersons and executives of Russian and Chinese companies, leaders of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of business associations and commercial communities from the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China.
The primary objective of the business forum is to strengthen trade and economic, scientific and technological, social and cultural ties between the regions of the Russian Federation and the administrative divisions of the People’s Republic of China.
“I would like to emphasise that Russia and China remain important trading partners for one another. In 2025, bilateral trade reached almost USD 240 billion, while its structure continued to diversify, including through an increase in goods with higher added value,” stated President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin during his two-day visit to Beijing marking the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Russia and China.
The SPROUTS Business Forum serves as a driver of trade and economic cooperation and provides an effective platform for establishing new commercial partnerships within the framework of the rapidly developing Russian-Chinese strategic partnership. It is here that new business connections are forged, helping to shape the future trajectory of cooperation between the two countries for years to come.
Media accreditation for the International Forum “SPROUTS: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation” is open from 1 June to 7 August 2026.
Journalists and bloggers wishing to cover the Forum’s events can review the accreditation requirements and submit an application via the Press Centre section of the Forum’s official website. Accreditation badges will be issued in Kazan following confirmation of accreditation through the applicant’s personal account.
A dedicated press centre with working and lounge areas will operate throughout the Forum. During the event, media scrums with participants in the business programme will be organised, and opportunities for one-to-one interviews will also be provided. The Forum programme includes business sessions covering key areas such as economics, finance, business associations, intergovernmental dialogue, industry, education, transport, tourism and culture. In addition to the business agenda, guests can look forward to an extensive cultural and sporting programme.
A special highlight of the programme will be the Russia-China Expo, a large-scale international exhibition dedicated to the most relevant areas of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and China.
