5.5 times more wheat exports: Russia strengthens its position in China's agricultural market
The volume of supplies of Russian agricultural products to China is growing by leaps and bounds: more than 35 tonnes of Russian wheat and meslin (a mixture of wheat and rye) were exported to China in July, which is 2 times more than in June and 5.5 times more than in July 2023.
Since the beginning of 2024, China has imported a total of $48.2 million worth of wheat from Russia, which is 7.6 times more than in the same period in 2023. The reason for this extraordinary demand was the intense development of economic relations between the countries and increased interest in Russian products.
On November 13-15 within the framework of the Rostki international forum experts will discuss the prospects of Russian-Chinese partnership in the field of agriculture, as well as hold a meeting of Chinese importers with export-oriented producers of agricultural products.
