Today in Shanghai, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Russian Digital Development Minister Maksut Shadayev, and representatives of several other countries signed an agreement establishing the World Organisation for Artificial Intelligence Cooperation. The mission of the new platform is to unite international efforts in the field of artificial intelligence and develop unified approaches to regulating such technologies. “Artificial intelligence is rapidly developing in Russia. We are one of the few countries with our own extensive language models. This allows us not only to share our developments and experience but also to effectively adopt best global practices. This is why international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence is of particular importance to us. This area of work is given a special place in the AI law, confirming the systemic nature of state policy in this area,” commented Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Prime Minister, who oversees the development of AI technologies.
