At a recent briefing on current foreign policy issues, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova answered a question about Russian-Chinese bilateral relations:
"Russia and China are the largest neighboring states. The experience of interaction between our peoples, which has been formed over several centuries, in the last 75 years, since the formation of the People's Republic of China, has acquired a new quality characterized by comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction.
This is not a fixed formula, but a vibrant, dynamically developing interstate cooperation for the benefit of sustainable development and the protection of the fundamental national interests of the two countries. The vital energy of our relations lies in a solid alloy of deep historical traditions of friendship and mutual trust, based on unconditional respect for each other's political culture, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and close or overlapping approaches to solving key global problems."
We remind you that the Russia-China International Forum will be held in Kazan from August 18 to 19, 2025, and will focus on the prospects for cooperation between Russia and China.
