On 25-27 June, the Maly Drama Theatre – Theatre of Europe, directed by Lev Dodin, will tour at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing. The audience will see Anton Chekhov’s play “Three Sisters”.
The leading roles will be played by Merited Artist of the Russian Federation Elizaveta Boyarskaya, Merited Artist of the Russian Federation Irina Tychinina, and actress Ekaterina Tarasova.
Chinese audience is already well acquainted with the Maly Drama Theatre’s work: previously, performances of “Uncle Vanya” in Hong Kong and “Brothers and Sisters” in Tianjin were highly successful. The new Beijing tour is further confirmation that the cultural dialogue between Russia and China continues to strengthen, creating a solid foundation for mutual understanding and long-term cooperation.
A striking example is the programme of the International Forum “SPROUTS”, which annually provides broad opportunities for cultural exchange between countries.
