Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of Kazan, is currently on a working visit to China. The city head’s agenda includes a tour of a multifunctional complex in Beijing and a meeting with a construction company, the city administration’s press service reports.
The complex in central Beijing showcases a new approach to organising residential and business space. It features innovative use of the underground level, showrooms, recreation areas and art installations.
PowerChina is one of the largest design and construction companies in the PRC. Its landmark projects include Beijing Daxing International Airport and Hamad International Airport in Doha (Qatar), as well as facilities in other countries.
Mayor Metshin’s working visit will conclude with his participation in a meeting of the United Cities and Local Governments – Eurasia (UCLG‑Eurasia) Council. There, the mayor will present Kazan’s experience in the field of digitalisation.
