Tatarstan enterprises continue to hire Chinese workers

At the III International Forum "SPROUTS: Russia and China – mutually beneficial cooperation", taking place in Kazan on August 18-19, 2025, it is planned to discuss issues of economic development and the creation of new enterprises related to the search for qualified personnel from China. In 2025, 5 Tatarstan enterprises are planning to hire workers from the People's Republic of China. The quota is 156 people. These are the data from the Russian Ministry of Labor. This year, 150 of them planned to attract a branch of China National Chemical Engineering & Construction Corporation Seven Ltd. from Naberezhnye Chelny. These are representatives of working professions: electricians for maintenance of electrical installations, electric and gas welders, steel fixers, slingers, crane operators, and so on. In addition, the republic's enterprises wanted to hire two chefs from China and one massage therapist this year. The number of Chinese workers in the region remained almost at last year's level. In 2024, Tatarstan enterprises planned to attract 153 Chinese citizens. The leader, as in the current year, was the branch of China National Chemical Engineering & Construction Corporation Seven Ltd., which announced the involvement of 140 representatives of working professions. In addition, Chinese citizens were attracted, for example, to the “Pioneer” industrial park in Nizhnekamsk, and also, as in the current year, as chefs in public catering. According to the documents of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation, Chinese workers occupy a small share – 1.3% – among foreign workers who are planned to be attracted by Tatarstan companies in 2025. A total of 86 enterprises announced their intention to attract more than 11.7 thousand foreigners.
