A rich cultural program has been prepared for guests, participants and experts of the Second International Russia-China Forum “SPROUTS”. Various events, Chinese movie days, tea ceremonies, tennis tournament, hockey match, interactive performances and international expositions are planned within the Forum. Guided tours to UNESCO World Heritage sites will also be organised, as well as tours in the form of presentations of industrial Russian and Chinese capacity.
In the framework of the Forum, the participants will be offered a sightseeing tour of Kazan, providing a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the most significant sights of the historical part of the city. A guided tour to the picturesque island-town of Sviyazhsk is also planned.
One of the highlights of the Forum is a grand concert of young performers “Zheltyi Aist” (“Yellow Stork”), which promises to be an unforgettable musical journey. Here traditional melodies will merge with modern rhythms, creating a unique sound picture that unites two musical cultures - Russia and China. The festival will feature young and talented musicians from the People's Republic of China performing compositions on piano, violin, cello, harp and traditional Chinese musical instruments.
Another event, which can already be called traditional, will be tea ceremonies. The uniqueness of this event lies in the fact that three tea drinking traditions will be presented: Russian, Tatar and Chinese. Guests will be able to enjoy an exquisite tasting of tea prepared according to ancient Chinese traditions. In addition, all participants will be able to discuss with experts the common features of tea culture in China and Russia, which will deepen and diversify the cultural dialogue between the two countries.
Besides, Chinese cinema days will be held during the forum. The event will be relevant not only for sophisticated connoisseurs of cinematography, but also for fans of cinema art. Special attention should be paid to the fact that all films will be broadcast in Russian, making the event accessible to a wide audience.
For the first time in the framework of the forum the “Evening League” team table tennis tournament will be held. Athletes and government employees from China and Russia will take part in it.
The hockey match between HC Ak Bars and HC Kunlun Red Star (China) promises to become a real sports sensation within the Forum programme. The regular championship match of the Continental Hockey League clubs will give the audience a unique opportunity to enjoy the high level of hockey and support their favorite hockey teams.
There is another event: the tournament of Weiqi (Go), one of the oldest board games with a history of more than 5,000 years. Weiqi (Go) games are held every four years. There will be several game formats: a board game on 30 tables and a floor game. Competitions will be held under the guidance of experienced coaches who will share their knowledge with all participants.
An integral part of the program will be a friendly chess tournament, which will be a platform to bring participants together in a spirit of healthy competition and mutual respect. Teams from Russian and Chinese cities will take part in the competition. In turn, it will create a platform for informal communication, exchange of experience and strengthening of professional ties between participants from both countries.
“We are pleased to welcome the participants and guests of the Second International Russian-Chinese Forum “SPROUTS”. This event not only strengthens economic ties between Russia and China, but also creates a unique platform for the exchange of experience and ideas. We are confident that the rich cultural programme of the forum will allow us to gain a deeper appreciation of the richness and diversity of cultures of both countries, as well as to identify common points of contact. Mutual understanding of the cultures of Russia and China is a strong foundation for building trust, and trust is the best basis for doing business,” said Taliya Minullina, Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
