India has launched daily direct flights from Kolkata to Guangzhou. A second route — three weekly flights on the Shanghai–Delhi route — is expected to launch from 9 November, RIA Novosti reports.
The Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation hopes that direct flights will expand the economic and trade potential between the two countries and boost tourism development.
