Russian Ambassador: Xi Jinping accepted the invitation to the Victory Parade in Moscow

President of the People’s Republic of China accepted the invitation for celebration of the 80th Victory anniversary in Moscow. It was announced by the Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov.
“PRC’s leader Xi Jinping accepted the invitation to take part in the celebrations on 9 May in Moscow on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War,” he said on the air on the Rossiya-24 TV channel. Xi Jinping in turn invited the Russian President Vladimir Putin to China for the celebrations to be held in early September.
Russian and Chinese leaders last met at the BRICS Summit in Kazan held in October. According to the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, the heads of states discussed the issues of bilateral relations, elaborated the topics brought up during Putin’s visit to China.
