China increases imports of Russian wheat 73‑fold in September

Compared with August, China increased supplies of Russian wheat 73 times in September, reaching $1,293 million, RIA Novosti reports, citing data from Chinese customs.
It is worth recalling that the 3rd International Forum “SPROUTS: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation” was held in Kazan on 18–19 August.
Apart from wheat, other crops have also shown positive dynamics. For instance:
barley imports have been growing for the fourth consecutive month and reached $9,84 million in September;
oats shipments doubled to $3,267 million.
Overall, within one month, China increased its grain purchases from Russia by 13,3 % to $24,1 million.
