China introduces electronic arrival card system for foreigners

Starting from 20 November, the People’s Republic of China is introducing an Arrival Card system for foreign nationals. The electronic card can be completed in advance via the website s.nia.gov.cn, or filled out upon arrival in China — either in paper form or electronically.

The card can be submitted through the NIA 12367 mobile app, via WeChat (or Alipay), or by scanning a QR code.

On 15 September, Chinese authorities introduced a visa‑free regime for Russian citizens.
