During his address to the State Council of Tatarstan, Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov highlighted the importance of hosting international‑level forums for developing relations within the frameworks of BRICS and the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation).
“On the instructions of the country’s leadership, Tatarstan is actively participating in integration processes within BRICS, the SCO and the Eurasian Economic Union. We are dynamically developing relations with partners from neighbouring countries, Islamic states, China, India, and nations across Asia and Africa,” said Rustam Minnikhanov.
“The significant expansion of the republic’s international economic and humanitarian ties is facilitated by major annual events, including the International Economic Forum Russia and the Islamic World: KazanForum, the SPROUTS: Russia and China — Mutually Beneficial Cooperation forum, and others,” he added.
