Tatarstan and China will create a joint university of advanced technologies

In Kazan, the meeting of the Tatarstan Rais Rustam Minnikhanov with the Deputy Minister of Education of China Jiangfeng Du took place. The visit of the Chinese representative is connected with the presentation of the International Prize named after Evgeny Zavoysky.

Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Mr. Jiangfeng Du on receiving the prestigious award and noted the significant achievements of China in the scientific and educational spheres. He emphasized the successful development of these areas under the leadership of Chairman Xi Jinping.

The meeting focused on academic cooperation. Currently, more than 2,500 Chinese students are studying at Tatarstan universities, making the republic the third-largest destination for Chinese students in Russia after Moscow and St. Petersburg.
