Chinese Consulate General in Kazan Hosts Children’s Day Celebration

On 29 May 2026, the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Kazan hosted a festive reception to mark International Children’s Day. The event brought together partners of the Consulate who have supported Russian-Chinese cooperation over the past four years, along with their children.
A rich programme was organised for the young guests, featuring themed areas with traditional Chinese games and creative workshops.
Opening the event, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kazan Xiang Bo noted that Children’s Day symbolises pure hope and a bright future. The diplomat also announced that he was completing his mission in Kazan and would be returning to China in three days’ time.
Guests repeatedly highlighted Xiang Bo’s contribution to strengthening ties between the Republic of Tatarstan and China. Chief Executive of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina thanked the Consul General for his fruitful cooperation and presented him with a letter of appreciation on behalf of the Agency. She also recalled that the International Forum “SPROUTS: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation” would be held for the fourth time this year and invited Xiang Bo to attend as a guest.
The annual business forum “SPROUTS: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation” brings together representatives of business, culture, education and government institutions from Russia and China.
The Forum aims to strengthen trade and economic, scientific and technological, social and cultural ties between the regions of the Russian Federation and the administrative divisions of the People’s Republic of China. This year, the International Forum will take place from 16 to 19 August 2026.
Words of appreciation for the Consul General were also expressed by Consul General of Kazakhstan in Kazan Erlan Iskakov, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Rodion Karpov, and Head of the Republican Agency for Press and Mass Communications “Tatmedia” Aidar Salimgarayev.
